The old hit Rise of the Triad in the new skin will surprise fans under the watchful eye of 3D Realms and Destructive Creations.
Old hit - Rise of the Triad is a fast paced shooter based game that was released in 1995 and was called a Doom clone. It had some cool features: the amount of weapons was impressive (three sounds for incendiary bomb), there were springboards and power-ups, and you could be a dog. Thanks to the brutality of the game's graphics, it was possible to hide the fact that it was launched on a boost version of the Wolfenstein 3D engine.
The game evokes such fond memories that even a decent remake from 2013 was popular. The good news is that next year the 1995 version will be refined, in addition to the game's debut on consoles (Xbox One, PS4 and Switch), the remaster will also hit PC.
Release announced at 3D Realms Deep Realms events. What gamers can expect: the new source port will be a widescreen, mouse look and "renewed multiplayer". There are also works on graphic improvements.
Destructive Creations will have the pleasure to publish this game together with 3D Realms and Apogee Software. Its launch is scheduled for early 2021.
